21+, she/her, hung up on season 12 of drag race

wahoo-shem:

afterword:

idk who needs to hear this rn but suffering is not noble. take the tylenol

One time when I was younger I was refusing to take headache medicine and my mom said “the person who invented that medicine is probably so sad you won’t let them help you” and now every time I find myself denying medicine I just imagine the saddest scientist making those big wet eyes like “why won’t you let me help” and whoop then I take the medicine

sassy-bi-latina:

I have to say, one of the funniest things to me in XO, Kitty is that Yuri keeps reassuring Kitty she won’t pull a move on her. While Kitty is anxiously thinking about making out with her.

Ma'am she doesn’t think you’re a predator lesbian, she’s a panicking queer.

lostmymarbles:

i love that kitty has zero chill whatsoever. she goes from ‘yuri is my enemy’ to ‘actually i think i have a crush on her’ to ‘i’m breaking up with my boyfriend because of my crush on her’ to ‘i’m gonna tell her i like her’ in a matter of episodes. girl is not about that pining life, good for her.

deenafier:

i want wlw heartstopper this, i want wlw heartstopper that- but when xo kitty finally gave people that corny wlw high school romance, queer awakening, and golden retriever x black cat dynamic… y’all pulled same old cards: no chemisty / i don’t see it / it’s random

starrynima:

the relationship we see actually develop romantically on screen is not kitty with dae or minho. we went into the story already knowing dae and kitty have feelings for each other. kitty’s relationship with minho, at least in her perspective, is not at all romantic. to her, they’re more frenemies.

the relationship we actually witness throughout the show developing first as a friendship and then into a crush is actually kitty and yuri’s relationship. so it really doesn’t make sense that people are saying it “came out of nowhere”. people are just saying that because they didn’t watch xo kitty with the knowledge that kitty (the main character) would be queer like they do watching heartstopper or any “lgbt” marketed show. it also doesn’t help that people are so dead set on minho just from the trailer.

just because it wasn’t in the trailer, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense narratively. kitty’s crush on yuri is not out of nowhere.
